With a Master's Degree in Counselling Psychology, I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor and have been working as a therapist since 1995. Along with couples therapy training, I also have extensive training and experience in treating disordered eating, substance misuse/abuse, anxiety, and mood disorders. Through my years of practice, I have been fortunate to work with a very diverse client group that includes men and women, ages ranging from 16 to 70+, people of all faiths and those who are agnostic or atheist, and clients of all sexual orientations (heterosexual, LGBT).
Often, the clients I work with have come to counselling because they've allowed themselves to feel the pain of how things are, and have summoned the courage to hope for how things could be. They might be seeing that the solutions they've adopted to help them deal with life's problems are no longer working and have evolved into problems in their own right, or might be feeling cautiously curious to discover more about themselves and the untapped potential in their lives and relationships.
My intention is to help clients recover or discover a rich and grounded way of being in the world, a way that holds integrity, self-respect, and connection to self and others.
